About the Role
Barkly Regional Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Specialist DFV Coordinator to lead the delivery of essential Safe House support services for individuals and families experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV) across the region. This vital role emphasises providing impactful services to children, young people, and families while fostering meaningful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
The Essentials
- Relevant formal qualifications or equivalent experience in DFV programs.
- High-level of competency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook including use of database and data reporting programs. Specialist DFV Coordinator.
- Demonstrated experience in providing support to children and young people in the context of domestic, family, and sexual violence.
- Cultural competence, especially in working with Aboriginal communities and an awareness of the current issues faced by victims of domestic, family and sexual violence.
- Proven history of developing and maintaining productive working relationships with key external stakeholders and referrers.
- Current Manual (C-Class) Driver’s Licence and have completed or are willing to undertake 4WD training.
- Current National Police Criminal History Check (within the last 3 months).
- Current Northern Territory Working with Children’s Clearance (Ochre Card).

The Finer Details
- Full-Time position paying Above EBA Award Classification of the Barkly Regional Council Enterprise Agreement 2023.
- Annual Salary of $115,500 per annum ($4,442.31 gross per fortnight).
- 11.5% Superannuation.
- Annual Leave of 6 weeks paid with 17.5% Leave Loading.
