Full-Time Position - Temporary (38 hours per week)

(End date: 30 November 2025 – subject to funding)

$55,221.00 per annum ($2,123.88 gross per fortnight)

+ Remote Community Zone Allowance $2.51 per ordinary hour


Are you passionate about community safety and supporting Aboriginal culture? The Barkly Regional Council is looking for a Night Patrol Team Leader to lead the Community Safety and Wellbeing Program in Alpurrurulam. This role is vital in ensuring the program remains strong, vibrant, and responsive to the needs of the community while upholding accountability to the program’s funding body.

The Essentials

  • Ability to work outside of ordinary business hours such as evening and night shifts.
  • The ability to apply a culturally appropriate approach to community issues and meet the physical demands of the position. 
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Current National Criminal History Check (within the last 3 months).
  • Current Northern Territory Working with Children’s Clearance (Ochre Card).
  • Current First Aid

  • You have experience working with Aboriginal communities and an understanding of cultural sensitivities.
  • You have strong leadership and communication skills.
  • You have a commitment to building a safer and healthier community.
