News: Elliott musicians scoop top song gong

Elliott musicians wowed judges and the audience at the 2016 NT Song of the Year Awards.

E-Town Boyz, Alex Butler and Justine Rankine, performing with Eleanor Dixon won the Youth Award for Kulimindini Is My Home.
Eleanor Dixon and the Sandhill Women took out the Folk prize for Everything Was At Peace.
Barkly Desert Cultures, a youth program run by the Barkly Regional Council helped the artists to produce the tracks, along with Monkey Marc, OZIBATLA and Music NT's Beatrice Lewis.
Program manager Sean Spencer, who accompanied the musicians to the presentation in Darwin in early July, said they were really proud.
"They were absolutely on top of the world," he said. "They've all worked really hard on the project and the accolades are well deserved."
Alice Springs songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist David Crow, also known as Resin Moon, claimed the Overall Song of the Year with his electronic dance song, Salt.
