Nominations Now Open for Local Authority Positions Across the Barkly Region
Barkly Regional Council is delighted to announce that nominations for Local Authorities are now open.
Local Authorities play an instrumental role in shaping the Council’s service delivery plans and projects to ensure they align with each community's unique needs and aspirations. With their on-the-ground presence, Local Authorities also assist the Council in identifying emerging issues and opportunities that impact their community.
We currently have 11 Local Authority vacancies across the Barkly Region:
- Ali Curung: 1 position
- Alpurrurulam: 1 position
- Ampilatwatja: 4 positions
- Elliott: 2 positions
- Tennant Creek: 3 positions
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for nomination, candidates must:
- Be aged 18 years or older.
- Reside in the community they wish to represent.
- Have a clear criminal history.
How to Nominate
Step 1: Download Local authority nomination form here.
Step 2: Complete the nomination form and submit it to the relevant Community Services Coordinator:
