About the Role:

The Records Officer reports to the Manager Governance and Policy and is responsible for overseeing the creation, organisation, maintenance, and disposal of records within the council. Your role is to ensure that records are managed efficiently, securely, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The position holder is accountable to the Director of Corporate Services.

 

The Essentials:

  • Knowledge of records management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of ethics and integrity understanding the importance of data privacy and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and experience with utilising Office 365 including SharePoint.
  • A current National Criminal History Check

 

About You:

  • Attention to detail, must be meticulous in their work.
  • Trustworthy, maintain confidentiality as you will be handling sensitive information.
  • Organised will excellent communication skills.

 

The Finer Details:

  •  Full Time position paying an annual salary of $74,486.70 ($1,432.44 gross per week)
  • Tennant Creek Zone Allowance of $1.89 per hour
  • 11.5% Superannuation
  • Annual Leave of 6 weeks paid with 17.5% leave loading.
