About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented ICT Officer to join our team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and providing technical assistance across our ICT systems, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted service for all end users. This includes delivering support via remote desktop software, email, and telephone, as well as hands-on management of hardware and software components.
Your work will be instrumental in supporting critical ICT functions and maintaining the performance and reliability of our ICT infrastructure, applications, and communication systems. The Essentials
- Professional qualification in a related field or extensive experience in Computers Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Analysis, or related discipline.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 Administration, including End Point Management, Entra, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and Cisco Meraki.
- Certifications in Microsoft 365 Administration (Associate level), CCNA, and Cisco Meraki
- Familiar with Local Government systems and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to plan and prioritise for outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and problem solve in a financial management context.
- Willing to travel and stay in remote Indigenous communities.
- Desirable Criteria – Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Current Driver’s Licence and have 4x4 training and experience.
- Current National Criminal History Check (within the last 3 months).

The Finer Details
- Full-Time position paying Level 6 Pay Point 1 of the Barkly Regional Council Enterprise Agreement 2023.
- Annual Salary of $74,486.70 per annum ($2,864.87 gross per fortnight).
- Tennant Creek Zone Allowance of $1.89 per ordinary hour.
- 11.5% Superannuation.
- Annual Leave of 6 weeks paid with 17.5% Leave Loading.
- Relocation Assistance of up to $5,000.
