ABC radio presenter Nadine Maloney and her producer Alice Moldovan set up outside the Tennant Creek Library on Tuesday and Wednesday bringing all the latest news and yarns from the Barkly.
The team have already spoken to a wide cross section of the community including Barkly Regional Council CEO Edwina Marks, Des Green of the NT Police in Tennant Creek and Anyinginyi's Sport and Recreation Coordinator Marcus Maher.
They chatted about footy with the President of the BAFL committee Steve Edgington, caught up with local Member for Barkly Gerry McCarthy, and talked about all things arty with Alicia Scobie and all things writerly with Maureen O'Keefe.
Tomorrow they'll catch up with Council President Barb Shaw, Council Sport and Recreation Coordinator Sean Spencer and a whole host of other interesting guests, including canvassing some locals on their thoughts about the proposed Tennant Creek to Mount Isa gas pipeline.
Today and tomorrow the team are hanging out in the CWA Hall on Noble Street. Not only is there a big mob of interesting ladies willing to share a yarn, but there will be morning tea.
Tune into to 106.1 if you're in the Barkly or join the fun from Alice on 783.
