Event: Window into Tennant's History

Rotary invites the community to attend a talk and photos of Tennant Creek and District in the 1960s.

Members of Rotary E-Club of Outback Australia have organised a talk and presentation of photographs of Tennant Creek and surrounds from 3pm-4.30pm as part of the 50th anniversary of the Hudson plane crash tragedy.
From August 1964 to October 1968 Ian Smart captured many wonderful images in and around the region and was working at the Post Office at the time of the VH-AGE Lockheed Hudson plane crash tragedy.
Ian, now living in Goolwa, South Australia, was also an official photographer for various government agencies and organisations during his time in Tennant Creek.
The talk will be held in the CWA Hall, Noble Street, Tennant Creek from 3pm-4.30pm.
