Event: Back on Track: Drink Driver Program
Charles Darwin Uni is holding a two-day course over this weekend from September 5-6.
On: Sunday, 6 September 2015
The
Back on Track Drink Driver Program is a Northern Territory-based initiative to
rehabilitate offenders who have been convicted of a drink driving offence.
Activities include identification of standard drinks, examination of the
individual's alcohol experience, community drinking patterns, self-monitoring
of drinking behaviour, and development and evaluation of alternative strategies
to drink driving, including controlled drinking strategies.
Emphasis is placed on the provision of an optimum learning environment, which
is non-threatening, non-judgemental, participatory, and that encourages
responsibility.
Held at the CDU Campus, Tennant Creek Training Centre, 65 Staunton Street, from
8.30am-5pm, students need basic spoken English to take part in this course on
Saturday, 5 September, until Sunday, 6 September.
Participants will be breathalysed each day. Blood Alcohol Reading must be
0.00%.
