Event: ANZAC Day

This Anzac Day marks an important milestone: the centenary of the Gallipoli Anzac landing on the 25th April, 1915.

On: Saturday, 25 April 2015

Hundreds of locals brave the chilly air each year for the Dawn Service at the Cenotaph, Tennant Creek RSL Club grounds on Schmidt Street.
With a 5.45am for 6am start, the Dawn Service also includes the Kapyong Day Commemorative Service for Korean War Veterans followed by a gunfire breakfast ($10 per person).
Groups then gather at the Transit Centre for the Commemorative Service and Main Street march at 8.40am, with the march starting at 9am, arriving at the RSL Club for morning service at 9.30am, followed by refreshments.
There will be two-up and live music at the Tennant Creek RSL club from 2pm until late.
Anzac Day is a unique experience and if you haven't gone before, it's well worth attending to commemorate the service and sacrifice of all Australian service men and women.
